Braving the Surf
While spending the afternoon at Harbor Springs beach, I noticed these two boys racing towards the water. Soon they were in the water up to their knees. And then they stopped. They now realized the water was very cold. With each new wave the water level rose to uncomfortable heights. This painting captures their moment of hesitation…and at the same time their resolve to swim.
