This painting was inspired by a family hike with friends through the Jordan River Valley. Our kids scattered along the trail - wading across flooded bridges, losing shoes in the mud and stopping frequently to eat the raspberries that grew abundantly along the path. One fly rod was brought along, and the path provided a couple of spots to stop and work on our fly fishing skills. Although hooks were lost and lines were caught in trees, we finally caught a very small but handsome trout. This is the moment right before we hooked him.
